Blessed are those who have granted the chance of visiting the Holy House of ALLAH (S.W.T) and the Holy Mosque of Prophet (P.B.U.H). Umrah is the beautiful Sunnah of Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). Our Beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) performed Umrah twice in His life. Umrah is a Minor pilgrimage and it is not mandatory but highly recommended whereas Hajj is major Pilgrimage, compulsory for every Muslim who can afford that. But Hajj can only be performed in the month of Zil-Hajj while Umrah can be done in any month of the Islamic year. Perform Umrah with gratitude and love to earn the countless blessings of ALLAH (S.W.T). According to Hadith, there are various incentives for performing Umrah.

Blessings of being ALLAH’s Guest:

The biggest benefit of Umrah is that you will have a chance to be the guest of Almighty as the Messenger of Allah said:

“The guests of Allah are three: The Ghazi, the Hajj (pilgrim) and the Mu’tamir” (Sunan an-Nasa’i: 2625)

Forgiveness of Sins:

It is an utter blessing of ALLAH that He forgives our all previous sins. As the Messenger of Allah said:

“Whoever performs Hajj for Allah, and he does not have sexual relations nor commit any sin, then his previous sins will be forgiven.” (Jami at-Tirmidhi: 811)

Remove Poverty:

Performing Umrah save us from poverty also. The Messenger of Allah (P.B.U.H) said:

“Alternate between Hajj and Umrah; for those two remove poverty and sins just as the bellows remove filth from iron, gold, and silver.” (Jami At-Tirmidhi: 810)

A Reward of Paradise:

Allah’s Messenger (P.B.U.H) said,

“(The performance of) `Umra is the expiation for the sins committed (between it and the previous one). And the reward of Hajj Mabrur (the one accepted by Allah) is nothing except Paradise.” (Sahih Bukhari: 1773)

Reward Equivalent to Jihad:

It was narrated by Hazrat Aishah that she said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, is Jihad obligatory for women?’ He said:

“Yes: Upon them is a Jihad in which there is no fighting: Al-Hajj and Al-‘Umrah.” (Sunan Ibn Majah: 2901)

Beside all these blessings, Umrah helps us to strengthen our Imaan and purifies our mind, body, and soul. Umrah makes us physically fit. It removes the dirt of sins and makes us feel lighter and spiritually fit as well. Visiting the Holy Kabaah and the Prophet’s Mosque is the most blessed experience of your life.
